Dr. Michele Jensen, PsyD., LMFT

A California native and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Dr. Michele Jensen earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Functional Medicine (Biology) from California State University, Fresno, and brings a strong background in research and genetic counseling to her clinical work.
As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Dr. Jensen maintains a private practice specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, substance and alcohol abuse, and family conflict resolution. She has extensive experience working with couples and individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, phobias, and OCD. Her integrative and compassionate approach helps clients move toward recovery, spiritual well-being, and more fulfilling relationships—with themselves, their partners, families, and communities. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Jensen provides supervision to Marriage and Family Therapy interns and trainees.
Dr. Jensen draws from a collaborative and evidence-based framework, utilizing modalities such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. She helps clients chart a personalized path to healing while supporting families of those in recovery. She is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma and PTSD.
Grounded in her Christian faith, Dr. Jensen also serves her local church community by providing spiritual guidance to families. Her commitment to service extends globally—she has volunteered in Malawi, Africa, offering family counseling and trauma/crisis intervention to remote villages in the Nkhoma region.
Dr. Jensen lives in Carlsbad with her husband, daughter, and Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Luna. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, writing, live music, and spending time with her family. She remains a lifelong learner with a deep appreciation for reading and personal growth.
Shaina Wagner, ACSW

Shaina began her career with a strong commitment to helping youth and adolescents navigate emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges, working closely with parents and families. During her graduate training at the University of Louisville’s Kent School of Social Work and her clinical residency at the Trager Institute’s Optimal Aging Clinic, she developed a newfound passion in supporting older adults and caregivers. There, she gained extensive clinical experience helping individuals and families face the realities of aging, chronic illness, grief, and caregiving stress.
Drawing from years of clinical experience across diverse age groups and backgrounds, Shaina brings an integrative, collaborative approach to therapy that is trauma-informed and person-centered. Her expertise is grounded in Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), while she thoughtfully integrates elements of Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Empowerment Theory to meet each clients’ unique, ever-evolving needs.
Her clinical focus includes a specialization in ADHD, with extensive experience navigating anxiety, depression, grief, identity development, interpersonal dynamics, life transitions, and the emotional aspects of aging. She is particularly passionate about supporting youth, adolescents, and families through ADHD management, periods of change and identity development, as well as helping older adults navigate shifting identities, relationships, health, and the search for meaning and purpose in later life.
Outside of her clinical work, Shaina enjoys life in San Diego where she lives with her partner and their two dogs. Her weekends include beach days, Padres games, hosting game nights, and road trips in their camper.
Hannah Lockrem, AMFT

Hannah earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Point Loma Nazarene University. She is passionate about walking alongside individuals as they navigate life’s challenges, transitions, and opportunities for growth.
Her clinical experience includes working in Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) settings with individuals struggling with eating disorders, as well as supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and body image concerns. No matter what brings someone to therapy, Hannah finds deep meaning in helping others uncover healing, resilience, and hope.
Hannah’s therapeutic approach draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She believes therapy is a collaborative partnership, one where you are in the driver’s seat and she is honored to accompany you as a gentle, compassionate guide. Together, you’ll highlight your strengths, build upon them, and move forward at a pace that feels right for you.
Outside the therapy room, Hannah enjoys practicing yoga, taking long walks on the beach, and discovering new coffee shops, all of which help her stay grounded and present.
Anna Nelson, LMFT
Anna is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to supporting clients through meaningful emotional and relational growth. Born and raised in Southern California, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Diego Christian College and her Master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Alliant International University.
Anna’s passion for mental health and the therapeutic process began through years of volunteer work with adolescents, where she witnessed the transformative power of compassion and connection. Her professional experience spans crisis management and outpatient clinical settings, where she has provided therapy to individuals, couples, and families navigating life transitions and emotional challenges.
Clinically, Anna draws from evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. She integrates these approaches within a collaborative, client-centered framework that honors each individual’s unique story and inner resilience.
Anna works with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, relational strain, and family conflict, with a special emphasis on fostering self-compassion and self-awareness as pathways to healing and growth.
In her free time, Anna enjoys spending time with her husband and family, staying active, reading, and tending to her garden, a practice she finds both grounding and restorative.

Ashley Jensen, RD & CEDRD
Eating Disorder Specialist
Ashley is a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian (CEDRD) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp™).
She specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating, body dysmorphia, body image concerns, and chronic dieting. Ashley practices from a non-diet, weight-inclusive, and trauma-informed framework rooted in Health at Every Size® (HAES®) principles. Her approach focuses on helping individuals heal their relationship with food and body while reconnecting with their innate cues for nourishment, balance, and self-trust.
Integrating her background in medical nutrition therapy with a compassionate, evidence-based philosophy, Ashley empowers clients to understand the science of nutrition while unlearning diet culture misinformation. She is deeply committed to dismantling harmful narratives perpetuated by profit-driven “wellness” industries, social media trends, and body-oppressive systems that distort our collective understanding of health and worth.
Ashley has practiced across all levels of care, including Residential (RTC), Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient (OP) settings. This breadth of experience allows her to assess and support clients through every stage of recovery, ensuring individualized and appropriate care.
Believing that full recovery and body acceptance are possible, Ashley fosters a safe, inclusive, and affirming space where clients feel seen, respected, and supported. She works collaboratively with clients and care teams to promote healing through nourishment, self-compassion, and sustainable, non-harmful behaviors.
Outside of her professional work, Ashley finds joy in traveling, hiking, camping, practicing yoga, and spending time at the beach with her husband and two children, recharging through connection, movement, and the natural world.
Gabriel Jensen, CADC-I
Gabriel Jensen is a third-generation San Diegan and a California Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor with over 20 years of experience in the field of addiction recovery. He earned his Certificate in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling from UC San Diego Extension in 2011.
As a person in long-term recovery, Gabriel has dedicated his career to helping others find freedom from addiction. He draws upon his own lived experience to bring authenticity, empathy, and insight to his work, transforming his personal challenges into a meaningful source of service and connection. His integrative counseling approach combines evidence-based techniques with compassion and real-world understanding, earning him recognition as a respected and effective professional in his field.
Beyond his counseling practice, Gabriel is an active contributor to the recovery community. He regularly attends and participates in 12-Step meetings and speaks at local high schools and parent education seminars, promoting awareness, prevention, and healing for individuals and families affected by addiction.
Gabriel lives in Carlsbad, California, with his wife and daughter. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys surfing, spending time at the beach, playing video games, and watching movies.
